As service changes failed to include the Dings we secured WESTlocal funding for a bus route that links the Dings to Brislington and Central Bristol. WESTlocal is a fund from the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority. Funding for the scheme comes from the Department for Transport’s Bus Service Improvement Plan. This will mean residents have access to vital amenities not currently available in the Dings, like grocery stores, pharmacies, and schools. Those with mobility issues will also be able to more easily access Old Market. We are working with all stakeholders to try and secure a stop that serves Avonmeads in future. You can find out more about the bus service here. We even numbered the bus route after the year a Dings residents Marilyn moved into the area, 1961.
After a loop of the Brislington area, the bus will travel through the Dings, Old Market, and Central Bristol before arriving at the Canon's Marsh area.
The bus will leave the Canon's Marsh area via Central Bristol before servicing Avon Street and the Dings and eventually the Brislington area.
